Well now I’m a big 3. Do you want to hear about my birthday? It was really cool.

First I woke Mummy and Daddy up really early because I wanted to open my presents. Daddy was very sleepy, but there was no point waiting for him to wake up properly as I wouldn’t get to open my presents ‘til lunchtime! It was great fun – the first time I could open my presents all on my own.

Mimi gave me a toy tram; Mummy and Daddy gave me a cool bag with some binoculars and stuff in it and some money to spend in a toy shop. After a yummy eggy breakfast we caught the bus into a big town where we were going to get a tram, a funi-colour train and a Dragon train. WOW! I was so excited.

We found a really big toy shop with stairs in it and went to look for something that I could spend my money on. I kept sitting on great big toy cars and dumper trucks and tractors but Mummy and Daddy said I couldn’t have one, I don’t know why (I thought it was MY money!!). But it was ok, because round the corner Daddy had found the most amazing selection of guitars…just the right size for me. You may not have heard that I am an amazing guitar player in fact I can play anything and it sounds like a guitar (my tummy, Daddy’s arm, and of course the air), but when I saw these I knew I just had to have one. Mine is blue and has funky buttons and a wangy bar! No more tummies for me!

When we got up the hill on the funi-colour train we had some yummy dinner and a cool icecream and then we went into a cave and went on a Dragon train in the Dwarves grotto (it breathed real fire form its mouth). Under the grotto was a little village and some old fairytales - this bit was a bit girly but we had to please Mimi I suppose.

When we got home I thought it was bedtime, but no, the fun was just starting. It was party time!! We played musical bumps, musical chairs and some silly balloon games where you carried the balloon in between your legs (not really fair for those of us with short legs though!) It was really good fun. Then we had some party food – crifsps, crifsps and more crifsps, oh and some sausages on sticks. And of course Mummy made me a cake – I think it was a train!!

I blew out my candles and then it was time for bed. Wow what a birthday! When am I 4?
